The Honor Guard is an elite group of scouts within the troop that have taken on additional duties. The duties consist of learning how to properly present the colors in a variety of situations such as outdoor, indoor, and funeral presentations.
The Troop 200 Honor Guard has had the privilege of presenting the colors at a variety of events including the Stoddard County Parade, Relay for Life, a St. Louis Cardinal baseball game, and 2 opening day Marion Miner baseball games. They have stood as guards during funerals of fellow adult scouts as well as veteran soldiers.
The Honor Guard is responsible for the ceremony to properly retire U.S. flags. If you have an old tattered flag that you would like to retire please contact Randy Graves, Honor Guard advisor, a boy scout, adult leader, or this website.
If you would like to know more information about the Honor Guard please contact Randy Graves.
